Three rail companies operate trains
in Australia. Great Southern Railway, feature the "Indian-Pacific"
between Perth and Sydney, the legendary "Ghan" between
Sydney-Melbourne-Adelaide and Alice Springs, soon to be extended
to Darwin, and the "Overland" service between Adelaide
and Melbourne.
Countrylink run trains from Sydney to Canberra, Melbourne and Brisbane
while Queensland Rail operate their "Sunlander" train
from Brisbane to Cairns and into the remote outback to Mount Isa,
Charleville and Longbeach plus the short but fast "Tilt Train"
from Brisbane to Rockhampton and Cairns.
